These images will always be remembered by me because of reasons i can not fully explain. They will be remembered as they were taken at a special time of my life, lets just call this time ‘Growing pains’ Andrea and Chris are a very sweet couple who got married in London. Their Greek wedding took place in north London with typical British weather…cold and a little wet. Andrea and Chris are special to me because of the reason i mentioned above but also because i see a lot of myself in them when i got married. I have been shooting weddings for 6/7 years now and had an amazing success, won many many awards, broken records, have honest respect from clients and my peers world wide, shoot weddings all over the globe etc etc but the best thing i have learned is what i am about to say. When you create a story that will last forever, even if the clients do not full appreciate it now, and you express yourself and communicate through the power and medium of photography, make every person and family member feel special, work your butt off, go the extra mile to capture truth and you get a hug at the end of the night thanking you for the amazing images and they have not even seen them yet…. it is the sweetest feeling knowing you have made a difference. It is not about us (photographers) it is about love and until you have been through some things in life like love or loss or both you won’t fully understand, but when you do, it makes all the difference. So for Andrea and Chris i wanted to just create my story and present to them what i see and how i want to communicate their love.

The best photographs of people come when you can find that deep bond that is in fact ‘love’. But many would misinterpret if you were to describe it as such. I remember one great wedding photographer once said that they fall in love with all their brides and I think this is a beautiful sentiment which should be extended to the whole family and collective at a wedding. If you can make the connection which stems from the purest form of love with your fellow man, your photographs of them will simply shine. Forget about gear and other earthbound irrelevencies and search for this simple truth and you will become one of the best. The photographs above illustrate this perfectly.
